Mallorca Best Beaches and Calas
Updated: Jan 3
Turquoise water, sandy beaches or rocky calas: Mallorca has a lot to offer and has nothing to envy the the Caribbean beaches. Here is a selection of some my favourite spots for the summer on the island!

Sandy Beaches
Es Trenc
This is THE white sandy beach with endless turquoise water in Mallorca. It can get quite crowded during the summer.

Playa de Portals Nous
I love this one because it’s easily accessible by public transport. A nice family beach to enjoy the day.

Bendinat Beach
A small beach, also perfect for paddle boarding.

Cala Mesquida
I love the dunes surrounding this beach, it’s quite nice in winter as well as there are some hiking paths starting there.

Cala Llombards
A cute little beach very popular during the summer. What I love about this one are the little fisher houses all around!

Cala Pi
The view of this cala from above is spectacular!

Rocky Calas
Caló des moro
The most beautiful scenery on the island, in my opinion! It’s not the most comfortable beach to sunbathe and stay for hours but the views are so breath-taking, it’s worth it!

Cala s’Alumnia
A little cala perfect to jump from cliffs. I love the hiking path starting there to enjoy the winter views, you can click here to read more about it.

Cala Banyalbufar
Banyalbufar is my favourite village on the island, I just can’t get enough of all the views from there. It’s really nice to be able to go for a dip while spending the day there, even if it’s not the spot I would choose to spend the whole day sunbathing.

Es Canyeret – Platja de LLucalcari
A little hidden gem, I think we found this one by accident. Te waves can be quite strong and it takes a bit of time to actually get to the swimming spots but the views are so worth it!

Cala Maioris
The perfect spot for a late afternoon swim. There are some natural pools all the way as well a little sandy beach. Perfect to go back up right in time to enjoy the sunset.

Torrent de Parreis
This is one of the must do when coming to Mallorca, it’s quite incredible to arrive there and see the sea in between the big rocks. There are some cool jumping points as well.

Stairway to Heaven
