Mallorca Adventures - 3-Day Road Trip Around the Island
Updated: Jan 3
Hey there!
Summer is full on here in Mallorca, and it’s the perfect opportunity to go on an road trip around the island! We went ahead and took off on a 3 day adventure, and we wanted to share our itinerary with you. Are you ready?

First stop - Camping in Cala Romantica
As we started our trip on Friday evening, we first were looking for a nice spot to settle down, take a quick dip in the water and plant our tent for the night. This spot was just perfect, since it was practically empty, very calm, and the parking was free. We hopped into the warm water as the sun was going down before getting ready for the night and a well deserved night of sleep. Of course in the morning is was way more packed, with people, but it didn’t bother us since we were planning on going elsewhere…
Second stop - Tanning in the hidden Caló d’en Rafalino
We arrived quite early so we didn’t have any trouble with finding a parking spot. After a quick hike on the coast, we encountered a beautiful cala, where we decide to stay untill lunchtime to get some sun and refresh in the clear waters. There wasn’t too many people until half past noon, but as it was getting crowded, we decided to leave and stop somewhere to get some brunch.
Third stop - Brunch in Cafe Saüc
It was a bit of a random decision, but after a quick research on the Internet we found ourselves in a cute cafe to have something to eat. We had some refreshing smoothies, and shared the tropical salad as well as the savoury crepes. Good to know - they have Arabay specialty coffee, which we were glad to sip on. Overall, the staff was adorable, the spot very welcoming, and the food rather good!
Fourth stop - Cala Moltó
With our bellies full, we continued a bit towards the East Coast and went for a swim in Cala, the perfect way to end the afternoon. We recommend taking the path on the left to find the hidden and way calmer spots.
Fifth stop - Sunset in Sa Fordada
Located on the very West side of the island, it was just the perfect place to admire the sunset. We had picnic while enjoying the view, it was precious. Make sure to come early enough to avoid struggling in finding a parking spot!
Sixth stop - Stroll & Brunch in Deia
Being in this region of Mallorca, we couldn’t leave without having seen the beautiful village of Deia. We went for a walk through the adorable little streets, had a cup of coffee with the amazing view provided by La Residencia Belmond (it is a pricy place, but the experience is quite worth it).
Then we had some brunch in S’Hortet, an amazing local cafe, we particularly recommend trying the sweet potato waffles.
Seventh stop - Hike in Banyalbufar
After a chill morning, it was time to go on the wonderful hiking path connecting Banyalbufar to Port des Canonge. Not only we could walk in the shade of the pine trees while admiring an amazing view, but we also found a beautiful cala to refresh and sunbathe before going back to our starting point. It’s an amazing experience!
Eigth spot - Dinner in Sant Elm
Our final destination was the little town of Sant Elm, where we had the most delicious (and well-deserved) dinner in a local restaurant, La Casita del Mar. We shared everything and had the greatest time! Make sure to call them up and book a table, the odds of finding one on the spot are very low as it’s probably the best restaurant in town.
The next morning, we took a dip in the turquoise water before heading back to Palma already…
It was a great experience, and we made so many beautiful memories!
