What's better than a fresh homemade picnic at the beach with your loved ones?
Mallorca has the best beaches and calas to for these kind of activities! So today, we share with you the story of Charl Jooste, founder of Woodworks Mallorca as well as our very own picnic, Palma Insta Tour style!
"My story starts back in South Africa, where I grew up on a farm, surrounded by the earth's natural resources. I was always drawn to wood, it's beauty, hardiness, and the number of years it takes for a great beast to grow."
"I have lived in a number of countries in my life and crafting has always been something I have done, specifically crafting with wood. From little wooden mushrooms that bring a Christmas tree to life to my absolute favorite, and certainly the biggest crowd pleaser, my Portable Picnic Tables."
"My picnic tables came from a love of celebrating food and wine but also from the not so enjoyable experience of sand crunching in my teeth when picnicking on the beach."
"My first table was some years ago, a gift for my daughter, so many of her friends loved it when they saw it, I thought why not make more of these, and so it began. After she moved with her family from the UK to the sunny shore of Mallorca, I came to visit on holiday, it was during my stay here that I started crafting on the island and so Woodworks Mallorca was born." - Charl Joose
It was such a nice evening, enjoying good food with friends while watching the sunset on the empty beach of Camp de Mar.
