Best Cafés and Brunch Spots in Palma de Mallorca
Updated: Jan 3
Gorgeous latte arts, tasty matcha, delicious pancakes and yummy cakes… Here are (some of) my favourite cafés and best brunch spots in Palma de Mallorca.
La Finca

My number one! La Finca is located not far from Plaza España and Puerta de San Antoni, and it’s nice to have such a great café in this part of town. The owners are the sweetest guys you’ll meet, and they do great food and coffee. I love the cakes there, and their empanadas and quiches are to die for. I always go for a matcha or a chaï latte, but occasionally I get tempted by their pink latte: a coffee with beetroot.

La Molienda

A new location has opened in Carrer de l’Arxiduc, again, it’s great to have one of this trendy café opening in this part of town. The new location is quite big but gets quite busy in the mornings (it can also be a bit noisy, so it might not be the best place if you’re looking for a quiet place to work from or have a meeting with someone). That being said, La Molienda has a good breakfats selection. I’m a big fan of the simple ‘pan con tomate’ and the delicious cinnamon rolls. The other location, off La Rambla in Carrer del Bisbe Campins, is much smaller and cozier, but the best part of it is the outside terrace.

Cafè Riutort

They are the masters of latte art! From hearts to swans, I always feel like it’s too pretty to drink! They have a great brunch selection. Located just off La Rambla, Cafè Riutort is where I start my Instagram tours of Palma, it can get quite busy as it’s a popular spot with only a few tables, but it’s worth the wait!
Address: Carrer del Carme, 25, 07003 Palma, Illes Balears
Rosevelvet Bakery

This is the place to be if you love amazing cakes. Rosevelvet Bakery always have a broad selection of cakes from brownie, to red velvet goodness. I’m also a fan of they ‘Sweet as hell’ neon sign!
Address: Carrer de la Missió, 15, Local 1, 07003 Palma, Balearic Islands
The Workshop Café and Cycles

Located on the other side of the town, I love The Workshop Café and Cycles especially for their chia seeds and berries pancakes: they are the best pancakes I’ve tasted in Palma! They also do amazing toasts with poached eggs, and their juices are fresh and tasty.
Address: Carrer Magalhaes, 1, 07014 Palma, Illes Balears
Can Joan de s’Aigo

This one is quite typical of Mallorca. If you want to taste all the Mallorquin specialities, don’t hesitate, go there! From sweets with ensaimadas, coca de patata and their signature hot chocolate (literally melted chocolate, not mixed with milk or water!), or if you prefer savoury: coca de trampo, empanadas and more. They have a few locations around town, my favourite has to be the oldest one: I love the charm factor once you step inside. Perfect breakfast spot after a morning stroll around the old town.
Address: Carrer de Can Sanç, 10, 07001 Palma, Illes Balears
Panaderia S’Estació

They do some delicious carrot cake and coca de patata, but let’s be honest, the best part of this Café/bakery is their glass floor as you come in! The first time I got quite surprised and thought I was falling, ahah. From the shop you can see the bakers making all the goodies below you and it’s quite fascinating to watch.
